I STARTED TO LIKE THAT MUSIC

Whilst Javier was taking notes with one hand during his first-year Business Management classes at EADE, with the other he was sketching out, alongside his brother Francisco, the initial ideas for what would eventually become a major business venture. From those doodles drawn in class and the entrepreneurial spirit that permeated EADE, an initiative was born which, just a few years later, would make it into the pages of Forbes..

"The atmosphere at EADE is incredible. I’d come from another university where I felt like just another number, and suddenly I found myself in an environment that spoke to me about things that really inspired me for the first time. Lecturers who brought their own experiences of success and failure into the classroom, and whom I listened to as if they were veritable encyclopaedias of wisdom. Recent graduates who were already generating over hundreds of thousands of euros through projects they’d started whilst studying… I started to like that music,” Javier recalls enthusiastically.

And it didn’t take them long to take the plunge. Led by Javier, his brother Paco and colleagues who are still part of the project today, such as Andrés, Adity Seguros was born – a new kind of comparison site that revolutionised the sector by getting insurers to compete in real time to offer each customer the best terms and prices.

Although similar models already existed in other sectors, Adity marked a turning point in the insurance industry. Its ‘bidding’ model between companies placed the customer at the heart of the process and, as Paco explains, made a world that is traditionally complex for consumers much more transparent and accessible. Customers no longer had to negotiate individually with different insurers: their application triggered a kind of smart auction which, with the help of the platform, found the most advantageous option.

That entrepreneurial spirit led the two brothers, from October 2022 onwards, to become one of the most striking start-ups in a highly competitive sector, thanks to an innovative, fresh and unique approach. Awards and accolades soon began to roll in. Among them, perhaps the most high-profile: Adity’s inclusion in the Forbes 30 Under 30 list, which recognises young people capable of transforming the world “with ambition, passion and vision”..

Today, Adity employs more than sixty people; its business model has adapted to changes in the market, yet it remains closely tied to its roots. The company continues to take on EADE interns, some of whom have now become permanent members of staff.

"We love the influence you have on the students,” the two brothers explain. “That’s exactly the sort of people we’re looking for for this project: polite, committed, ambitious individuals who are keen to learn, grow and take pride in what they do”.

"We’re a young and dynamic company,” adds Javier. “We need people like Cristina and David, our latest recruits from EADE. Here, we can offer them an exceptional working environment, very competitive terms, incentives and motivation, as well as very attractive working hours: Monday to Friday, mornings only.”

Adity Seguros was founded in Fuengirola and has already had to move its headquarters three times due to rapid growth. Its expansion is such that the company is now planning to move into its own building in the centre of Málaga.
